Understanding costs
Spread, commission and swap
Every trade has a spread. On Standard and Pro the spread includes WoonFX's markup and there is no commission. On Raw Spread you trade on the raw spread and pay a fixed commission instead.
If you keep a position open past the daily rollover in New York, a swap is added or deducted. It reflects the interest rate difference between the two currencies (or the financing cost of the asset) and depends on whether you are long or short.
Spread
The difference between the buy (ask) and sell (bid) price. You pay it once per trade.
Commission
A fixed fee per lot on Raw Spread forex and metals, charged on open and on close.
Swap
A financing charge or credit for positions held through the daily rollover.
Triple swap
Applied once a week to cover the weekend, usually on Wednesday.
