Indices CFDs

Index CFD trading on the world's leading stock markets

An index tracks a basket of leading company shares, so one trade gives you exposure to a whole market: US technology with NAS100, US blue chips with US30, the broad US market with US500, Germany with GER40, the UK with UK100 and Japan with JP225.

CFDs are leveraged products and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly. Read the risk disclosure.

How index CFDs work

Index CFDs follow the price of the underlying cash index. One lot equals one unit of the index price in its currency, so a 100-point move on NAS100 changes the value of one lot by 100 USD. You can trade from 0.01 lots and go long or short.

Indices react to earnings seasons, economic data and interest rate expectations. Because they spread risk across many companies, they tend to move more smoothly than single shares.

What moves indices prices

  • Company earnings and guidance
  • Interest rate expectations
  • Economic growth data
  • Sector rotation and risk appetite
