Risk Disclosure

The main risks of trading leveraged forex and CFD products. Read it before you trade.

Version 0.1 (draft)

Draft – to be replaced by compliance. This placeholder text is not the final legal document. Items in [brackets] will be completed by WoonFX compliance before launch.

1. General risk warning

Trading forex and CFDs involves significant risk of loss and may not be suitable for all investors. Leveraged products can result in losses exceeding your deposits. Make sure you understand the risks and seek independent advice if necessary.

You should only trade with money you can afford to lose. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

2. Leverage and margin

Leverage lets you open a position worth many times your deposit. A small price move against you can cause a large loss relative to your margin and can lead to the automatic closure of your positions at the stop-out level.

3. Market volatility, gaps and slippage

Prices can move quickly, especially around economic releases, earnings and weekends. Markets may open at a different price from the previous close (a gap), and stop orders may be filled at a worse price than requested.

4. Cryptocurrency CFDs

Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and can be affected by regulation, technical failures and market manipulation. Crypto CFDs carry a lower leverage cap but can still result in rapid losses.

5. Over-the-counter trading and counterparty risk

CFDs are traded over the counter with us as your counterparty, not on a regulated exchange. You rely on our ability to meet our obligations. [Add client money and compensation details.]

6. Technology risk

Internet outages, device failures or platform maintenance may prevent you from placing or closing orders. Keep your apps up to date and consider setting stop losses on open positions.
