Execution

How your orders are filled

WoonFX uses market execution. Your order is filled at the best price available when it reaches the server, so there are no requotes, but in fast markets the fill can differ from the price you saw on screen (slippage), in either direction.

Every fill follows the same rules, which are applied identically on the mobile app, the web terminal and to pending orders, stop loss and take profit triggers.

  • 1Buy at the ask, sell at the bidMarket orders fill at the executable side of the price. Positions close on the opposite side: buys at the bid, sells at the ask.
  • 2Pending orders on the executable sideBuy limit below the ask, buy stop above it; sell limit above the bid, sell stop below it. Triggers are checked on the side you would trade.
  • 3Margin re-checked at triggerWhen a pending order triggers, free margin is checked again. If there is not enough, the order is rejected rather than over-leveraging the account.
  • 4Stop loss and take profitSL and TP trigger on the closing side and are re-validated before execution. A minimum distance from the price may apply per instrument.

Order types

Market and pending orders

Every order type is available on the WoonFX mobile app and the web terminal.

  • Market

Execute now at the best available price.

  • Buy limit

Buy below the current ask when the price falls to your level.

  • Buy stop

Buy above the current ask when the price rises through your level.

  • Sell limit

Sell above the current bid when the price rises to your level.

  • Sell stop

Sell below the current bid when the price falls through your level.

  • Stop loss / take profit

Attached to any position or pending order to close it at a loss limit or profit target.

  • GTC / GTD

Pending orders stay active until cancelled, or until a date and time you choose.

Margin call and stop out

Know exactly when positions are protected

Your margin level is equity divided by used margin, times 100. While it stays above the margin call level, nothing happens. At the margin call level (Standard 100%, Pro 100%, Raw Spread 100%) we notify you so you can add funds or reduce positions.

If the margin level falls to the stop-out level (Standard 50%, Pro 30%, Raw Spread 30%), the platform closes your least profitable position first, then re-checks, until the level recovers.

Negative balance protection

You cannot lose more than your deposit

Markets can gap over weekends or around major news. If a stop out leaves a live account with a negative balance, WoonFX resets it to zero after settlement, so you never owe more than you deposited.

FAQ

Trading conditions FAQ

More answers in the WoonFX help centre.

What type of execution does WoonFX use?

Market execution: orders are filled at the best available price when they reach the server. In fast markets the fill can differ from the price you saw (slippage), in either direction.

Does WoonFX offer negative balance protection?

Yes. Live accounts have negative balance protection: if a stop out in a fast market leaves your balance below zero, WoonFX resets it to zero.

What are the margin call and stop-out levels?

Margin call and stop-out levels depend on your account type and are shown in the table on this page. Margin level = equity ÷ used margin × 100%.

What is the minimum and maximum trade size?

Most instruments trade from 0.01 lots; stock CFDs trade from 1 share. Maximum sizes and lot steps per instrument are listed on each market page.
